Bears move to 3-0 for first time since 1995

Bears Move to 3-0
For the first time since the 1995 season, Alcorn Central has started their season 3-0.
Falkner won the toss, and elected to receive. The Golden Bears defense would force the Eagles to punt on their opening drive.
The punt was blocked, would be muffed by Alcorn Central and then was recovered by Alcorn Central.
The first play for the Golden Bear offense was a run for Colt Fields. Fields would take it to the house for a 39 yard touchdown. The two point conversion pass would fail and the Bears would lead 6-0 with 10:11 remaining in the first quarter.
With 5:32 to go in the first quarter Chris Nunley scored on a 4 yard touchdown run. The 2 point conversion was NO Good and the score was tied 6-6.
After a Falkner defensive stand, the Bears would punt. The punt had a bad snapped and then the Golden Bear punter would be flagged for intentional grounding which would set Falkner up in the red zone. One play later the Eagles scored on a 20 yard pass from Chris Nunley to Caden Jackson. The two point conversion was NO Good and Falkner would lead 12-6.
This would end the first quarter.
On the opening kickoff of the second quarter, Charlie Staley would return the kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown run. Staley would score the 2 point conversion and the Bears would lead 14-12.
It was all Golden Bears after that.
With 6:50 remaining in the second quarter, Talen Kemp would connect with Alex Moore for a 78 yard touchdown. Staley would run in the two point conversion and Bears would lead 22-12.
With 0:14 remaining in the first half, Charlie Staley would score on a 23 yard run. Talen Kemp would run in the two point conversion and the Bears would take a 30-12 lead into the half.
At the 10:48 mark in the third quarter, Talen Kemp would connect with Alex Moore for a 40 yard touchdown. Staley would run in the two point conversion and the Bears would lead 38-12.
With 4:36 left in the third quarter, Talen Kemp would connect with Alex Moore for a 93 yard touchdown pass. Talen Kemp would run in the two point conversion and Bears would lead 46-12.
With 9:56 remaining in the fourth quarter, Riley Lambert would find the end zone on a 2 yard run. Riley Lambert would run in the two point conversion.
The Bears would lead 54-12. This would start the running clock.
Talen Kemp would then intercept a pass and the Bears would end the game in the Victory Formation.
Next week, the Bears return home to face the Smithville Seminoles. The Bears will look to improve to 4-0 for the first time since the 1989 season.
