Stacy scores 4th most points in Lighthouse history as Lions down McNairy

Hunter Stacy put himself in the Lighthouse Classic scoring record book with his performance Saturday.

No bucket was bigger than his last one in the Lions 72-70 victory over McNairy Central, though.

The senior guard poured in 35 points, good for the 4th most in the history of the Lighthouse, and he made the three biggest plays of the game late.

He got a driving score with under a minute to play, which McNairy answered with a bucket of their own to tie the game at 70.

The Lions leading scorer a season ago then did what he does best: get a bucket. The senior gathered 3 rebounds before getting what turned out to be the game winning points. He then stepped up to take a charge on the ensuing McNairy possession as they drove for a last second attempt at tying the game.

Biggersville took 6 charges on the day.

Devin Leatherwood added 15 points for the Lions. Brooks Brand chipped in 12. Te’lick Barnett contributed 10.

The Lions are back in action Tuesday against district foe Falkner.
