Alcorn Central volleyball player in running for statewide athlete of the week
Alcorn Central’s Mia Griffin is in the running to be selected as the Clarion Ledger statewide athlete of the week.
According to the Clarion Ledger:
The Clarion Ledger has determined 10 finalists for the #MSPreps athlete of the week for Oct. 14-19, and we need your help selecting the winner.
Each week’s winner will receive a ticket in his or her name for the Clarion Ledger Sports Awards banquet in the spring.
Voting is open until 2 p.m. Thursday.
Griffin helped lead Alcorn Central to a 3-0 win over Hickory Flat with 16 kills and 12 digs.
