Corinth rolls to dominating district win over New Albany

Corinth got off to a slow start and picked up their first points of the game in an unconventional way, with backup quarterback Brawner Creegan hitting starting quarterback DT Sheffield for a 49 yard touchdown pass.

After that, it was business as usual. The Warrior business being leaving no doubt about the victory.

Corinth opened up a 49-7 halftime lead that led to a running clock in the second half en route to a 56-20 victory over New Albany to move to 7-1 on the season.

The Warriors got 2 passing touchdowns from Sheffield, 3 touchdowns from Cayden Betts and a pair of DK Gaines touchdown receptions in the victory over their long time district foe. Carter Bonds added a rushing touchdown to go with 11 tackles on the night. Will Agnew rounded out the scoring with a 65 yard touchdown run.

The Warrior defense got several big plays, including this 3rd quarter sack by Calvin Jones to punctuate the Corinth performance.

Corinth is back in action at home Friday against Ripley.
