Patterson’s no hitter, Hendrix clutch hit lead Lady Warriors to game 1 victory

The Corinth Lady Warriors picked up a big home victory in the 2nd round of the 4A state softball playoffs on Monday, taking out Caldedonia 2-1 to take a 1-0 series lead.

The action will move to Caldeonia on Tuesday with the Lady Warriors having a chance to clinch the series.

Senior McKenzie Patterson pitched a gem in the circle, striking out nine batters and tossing a no hitter, allowing only one unearned run.

At the plate, a two-run double by Junior Cheyenne Hendrix provide all the offense that Corinth would need.

Freshman Crista Wilson added a pair of hits for Corinth.
