Corinth volleyball set to face New Albany for district title after sweep of Ripley

Corinth went on the road and picked up a 3-0 sweep over Ripley on Tuesday by scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-13.

Saili Weeden led with 8 kills and 6 blocks. Allison Greene and Katie Nakagawa added 6 kills each. Nakagawa and Anna Greene had 4 aces apiece. Sarah Kate Burns churned out 18 digs. Anna and Allison Greene had 13 and 11 asssits, respectively. Sarah Bickert turned in 2 kills, 1 dig and 1 assist while Cheyenne Hendrix had 3 kills, 3 digs and a block.

It sets the stage for a defacto district championship match against New Albany on Thursday.

The Lady Warriors and Lady Dawgs played an epic 5 set match on September 17th, won by Corinth in dramatic fashio to hand New Albany their first district loss in 3 years.

The two square off for all of the marbles on Thrusday at New Albany.
