Alcorn Central picks up 3rd win of season with road win over Falkner

The Alcorn Central Golden Bears picked up a big road win against the Falkner Eagles on Friday night, pulling away in the second half for a 42-19 victory.

The win puts the Bears season record at 3-1, the earliest Central has made it to 3 wins in 18 seasons.

Central got the scoring started on a Jacob Leatherwood fourth down conversion pass for a touchdown to Charles Staley for a 6-0 lead.

Alcorn Central would never trail in the contest from that point forward, building an 18-6 halftime advantage en route to the big win.

Leatherwood would finish with 4 total touchdowns. Kam Rorie would add a pie of rushing scores.

Central is back on the road Friday night at Potts Camp.
