The Biggersville Lions defense looked every bit as daunting to start the 2019 season as they did in 2018, starting off with the first points of the season coming on a safety and ending their nights scoring with an additional safety.
That is good news for the Lions and bad news for the rest of their opponents.
Biggersville used an old formula to get a 26-13 win over Adamsville on Friday night, getting three rushing touchdowns from Goldman Butler and playing tenacious defense to come away with the victory.
The Lions never trailed in the contest, picking up the safety and three first half Butler touchdowns to build a 24-6 halftime lead.
Biggersville is off next Friday before a trip to Hatley on September 6th.
