Kossuth Middle school gets hard fought win to advance in 5 county tournament

Kossuth built a lead in their game against Booneville in the 5 county tournament on Wednesday and refused to relinquish it as they claimed a 34-32 victory.

The win moves them to the semifinals of the tournament.

The Aggies trailed 7-6 after the first quarter but fought back and took a lead in the second quarter in the back and forth contest. They got big stops down the stretch and made enough plays to come out on top.

Kossuth was led by Ethan Tucker with 16 points. Hank Eaton hit 6 free throws in the final quarter to secure the victory.

Kossuth moves on to face West Union Friday at 6:30.
