Lady Aggies get hard fought win as boys fall in last second thriller

Kossuth deployed a top notch defensive gameplan and came away with a hard fought road victory on Thursday.

The Lady Aggies, playing without leading scorer Zoe Essary, slowed down the top Walnut scorers and came away with a 52-41 victory.

Faith Williamson made several big plays in the game to provide the spark that Kossuth needed to claim the victory, including 12 points in the second quarter.

Kossuth was able to control the clock in the second half and get stops when it needed to claim the win.

Williamson finished with a game high 20 points. Regan Bobo had 11. Hadley Jackson contributed 10.

The victory moved the Lady Aggies to 17-3 on the year.

In boys action, the Aggies fell in a heartbreaker to the Wildcats 49-47.

Nick Hopper led with 14 points. Luke Evetts had 13.
