Alcorn Central boys win, girls fall against Pine Grove

Alcorn Central took a split against Pine Grove in basketball action Tuesday night, with the girls falling and boys picking up the victory.

In girls action, the Lady Bears hung in with the defending state champion Lady Panthers before ultimately falling 54-32. The loss put their season record at 0-2

In the boys nightcap, the Bears won a heated contest against the Panthers, pulling away in the 4th quarter for a 61-41 victory. The victory brought their season record to 1-1.
